The Anne Frank Café
A quiet place to reflect near one of history’s most powerful stories
Located just steps from the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, the Anne Frank Café offers a calm and respectful space to pause, reflect, and take in the atmosphere of the historic Jordaan district. More than a simple café, it is a place where visitors naturally slow down after an emotional visit, surrounded by the everyday streets that once framed Anne Frank’s life in hiding.
The café combines a warm, understated interior with views of the surrounding canals and historic buildings. It serves coffee, light meals, and refreshments in an atmosphere designed for conversation and contemplation rather than distraction. The setting encourages visitors to sit quietly, read, write, or simply absorb the weight and meaning of the place they have just experienced.

Anne Frank Haus Museum Directions
The Anne Frank House is located in the historic center of Amsterdam, an area with limited car access. Driving directly to the museum is not recommended, as there is no parking on site. If you arrive by car, it is best to park in one of the nearby public parking garages such as Q-Park Europarking, then continue on foot. From the parking area, the museum is about a 10-minute walk through the Jordaan district.
Public transport is the easiest way to reach the Anne Frank House. From Amsterdam Central Station, take tram 13 or 17 and get off at the Westermarkt stop. From there, the museum is a short walk along the Prinsengracht canal. Several bus lines also stop nearby, making the location easily accessible from all parts of the city.
From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, take a direct train to Amsterdam Central Station. The journey takes around 15 to 20 minutes. Once at Central Station, continue by tram or on foot as indicated above.
